# /altkey

## Syntax

**/altkey** ***command***

## Description

Execute *command* while telling the window manager that the alt key is pressed. Can also be used together with [/ctrlkey](/macroquest/commands/slash-commands/ctrlkey.md) , [/shiftkey](/macroquest/commands/slash-commands/shiftkey.md) , or both as in:

```
 /ctrlkey /altkey /shiftkey command
```
